  • Genesis of the aesthetic creation and of the phenomenon of style : what are the processes, which lead the (cross-culturally demonstrable) aesthetic impulse to a concrete form, to the epiphany of the beautiful and even of the sublime, i.e. to ‘art’? (in all its forms)
  • Matrixial creativity and feminist psychoanalytical enquiries
  • Intercultural contact and religious/artistic syncretism (Latin America, North Africa & Canary Islands)
  • Aesthetico-cultural canon, exclusion and transgression (Early Modern Europe, North Africa)
  • Art, trance, and therapeutic rituals of trance (Europe, the Mediterranean world and North-Africa)
  • Cultural/artistic production in complex and differentiating societies (Early Modern Europe, ..)
