Mission statement
The Research by the IARA focuses on how Africans shape their present-day lifeworld, however ‘local’ or ideosyncratic. Except to its mission statement, this page contains links to ongoing research (including the larger research projects the Institute is conducting now), or to the Ph.D. dissertations already completed. The themes presented in our mission statement you also find reflected in the profile of our staff. You can also check our grants and awards page. Have a look...Ongoing Research
