The Master of European Politics and Policies (MEPP)

The mission of the Master of European Politics and Policies’ (MEPP) is to combine academic excellence in the comparative study of public sector structures, policy-making and administration within Europe, with a continuing concern for the practical challenges professionals in policy, administrative and consultative functions face at the sub-state, state and EU level.

Do you have:

  1. A genuine interest in European policies and institutions as well as in (European) public administration and management ?
  2. An open mind towards the diversity in the European context ?
  3. Excellent communicative skills in view of group work ?

Then this Master might be your ticket to a fantastic "MEPP" experience !

You can compose your individual study programme thanks to the combination of a strong core of compulsory courses and a rich variety of elective courses.

  1. Compulsory courses provide you with a solid introduction to the comparative study of public policies, public administration and public management in the different national traditions, and with the dynamics of European integration.
  2. Within the elective courses a choice can be made, either towards specific policy issues (political economy, foreign policy, international security, social policy), or to a more historical, political, economic or legal approach.

Although only 25 minutes from Brussels – the heart of Europe – your journey might be expanded towards other European countries and even beyond.

  • Being part of a European interuniversity network, you have the possibility to participate in our European Masters of Public Administration network and spend the second semester in Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, France, Estonia, Finland, United Kingdom, The Netherlands or Italy.
  • Because of our representation in the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window (EMECW) you can even go beyond the European borders, offering you a possible exchange to India or Russia.

After this intensive one-year MEPP experience, you are off to a fantastic career. The Master of European Politics and Policies is a RoadMEPP to jobs in the European policy area, European or national administrations and even the private sector, lobby groups and more. Jobs may vary from advising, specialist to coordinating tasks. You can use the ticket for whatever you wish !
