The European Scrutiny Committee assesses the legal and/or political importance of each EU document (about 1,100 per year) and decides which are debated. On this page you can find information on the Committee, its session minutes and publications. They often provide very interesting reports.

This Committee ensures that the Bundestag is able to contribute to decisions taken in Brussels, Strasbourg and Luxembourg. It helps the government to formulate and implement German policy towards the European Union. It is responsible for fundamental issues relating to European integration as well as cooperation with the European Parliament and the national parliaments of the Member States. However most information you will find here is in German.
