01/05/2005 - 31/12/2006- Type of project: iMinds
- Project website: http://cick.ibbt.be
Within the framework of IBBT, the Centre for Usability research (CUO) participated in the CIcK project, Convergence Initiative Cable.
The objective of CIcK was to develop the architecture roadmap to provide Flanders by 2010 with a next generation world class broadband infrastructure, starting from the current worldclass broadband cable infrastructure, based on open public standards, using the new convergences of broadband technologies and enabling new user-driven convergent broadband services.
CUO detected the user needs and evaluated also the usability, likeability and sociability of interactive services in different phases of the development proces.
CIcK was carried out by a consortium of companies: Telenet, Gouden Gids – Promedia, Neckerman Postorders, Scientific-Atlanta Europe, Siemens, tComLabs and Vlaamse Infolijn van het Ministerie van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap in cooperation with the IBBT research groups: CUO and ICRI from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, PATS from the Universiteit Antwerpen and IBCN and WICA from the Universiteit Gent.
