Main Fields of Research Interest

Wim van Oorschot studies the social policies of European welfare states. His main interests are in social security and labour issues, as well as in the cultural determinants and legitimacy of policies that aim to promote social cohesion, solidarity and social justice. He analyses and compares policies and public opinion.
