About CEPS/INSTEAD

CEPS/INSTEAD is a multi-disciplinary research institute and data producer originating from a private, non-profit organization founded in 1978. It is currently based in Esch-s-A (G.D. Luxembourg). Its international research staff is composed of sociologists, social policy analysts, economists, statisticians, geographers, demographers and psychologists.
Its missions, as defined by law, are to:
- conduct and organize cross-sectional and longitudinal studies of populations, poverty and socioeconomic policy;
-  create, manage and utilize data bases with national and international comparative scientific data;
- develop instruments of analysis, modelling and simulation for socio-economic policy;
- develop and improve data-processing tools;
- create and maintain inter-regional and international research and information networks with regard to technology, environment, alternative development and development;
- organize, at the post-graduate level, training relevant to the proposed research.

Working languages of CEPS/INSTEAD are French and English.
